The Callaway Golf Epic iron changes the game and according to Callaway Golf design experts, “this new club pushes the boundaries of what is possible. It advances iron design to the next level and uses innovative techniques and technology only available at Callaway Golf. AeroSpace grade materials, laser welded parts and precision milling. The result is the fastest ball speed and highest performance ever delivered by a Callaway iron. It’s not hype, the truth is in the numbers.”

70 engineers collaborated on the design. 200 is the total processes it takes to construct and complete each club head. 60 is the total number of days to perfect every detail on each club.

Designers were given the orders to create the best iron in golf without restriction on time or cost. Epic iron is the result.

For the Epic irons Callaway incorporated a high-grade steel structure into the centre of the cavity to add strength and stiffen the body, especially the topline and sole, allowing the face to take on more impact load. This is called “energy lensing” and in the Epic irons it raises the efficiency level of the face to promote faster ball speed and distance. The result? The Epic 3-iron to the 7-iron have been pushed right up to the .830 COR limit meaning consistently faster and longer irons across the whole set.
